Lonely mage boss aesthetics overhauled (just because i can >:) )Īdded a new cost changing node (works with bone and mox cards) !! Also the Inscryption Community Patch messes up the cost choice nodes, so play without it, unless if you really despise the cost choice node.īecause of the kaycees mod thing I had to add a seperate dll that handles some of the kaycees things (changing start decks, and fixing some issues with map generation), sorry! Make sure to enable mox refresh in API config!!! (Bepinex/Config/) Put the DLL file and Artwork folder into the same folder as the DLL file. Also replaces some of the card unlocks with mage unlocks.Replaces all starter decks in kaycees mod with a special "moxified" version.Replaces all of the ACT 1 bosses (including leshy) with unique bosses.Would have been really neat if he touches you, does something, and what you thought was the finale was really the transition to act 4. Almost feels like a wasted opportunity now. I chalked it up to a final act of desperation, but that’s much more interesting. I didn’t look too deeply into it, but you’re right the handshake didn’t quite feel as in character for him as it did for Grimora and Leshy. Because whatever he was going to do, if wasn’t shake my hand I’m glad that he was erased before he could touch me. He’s also clearly the most sadistic of the 4, even compared to P03 with the way he treats his apprentices, so I refuse to believe his plans, whatever they were, were good. He was forced to constantly play defense against the rest, so we never got to see what he would do if he was in charge. Magnificus struck me as potentially the worst of the lot, he just never got to do anything because first he was trapped by leshy, then P03 took over, and finally Grimora put an end to the game. I’m sorry for the necro, but I just finished the game and found this after wondering the same. So yeah, Rebecha is in Inscryption because GameFuna keeps having their characters jump games, and the way Lionel Snill describes using the Gameworks Assistant, it's possible some of this is outside of GameFuna's control and instead is the work of Irving himself. Sado keeps jumping games like it's entertainment, first being a bullshit superboss in Combat Arena X, then being modded(?) into Waste World, then being released from solitary confinement after the rug pull of "Vicious Galaxy II" actually being a raid on Gameworks, and finally making an appearance as glitches in Walk (which is the reveal of her true nature) Shrewd in Super Weasel Kid, but was added into Combat Arena X, then modded into Waste World, possibly by SadoĬhef Bryce was originally part of the Cooking Granny series before being forced into Combat Arena X Squarrel was originally the replacement for Mr. Lazarus was originally Chandrelle's partner in SoL, but after his assistance in getting that series shut down, he got moved into the Vicious Galaxy series, which is apparently hell to be a part of One thing that's made abundantly clear over the course of The Hex is that there's only one instance of each of these characters, and the same one is being inserted into multiple GameFuna games.Ĭhandrelle was originally designed as a Combat Arena X character before being forced into given her own series, Secrets of Legendaria We know for certain that this method was used for Inscryption as well, as the Blue Man and Blue Triangle mentioned by the Holo-Trader are Irving, and the Gameworks Assistant program he comes included with, respectively. GameFuna has a way to create sentient video game characters, which is unrelated to the OLD_DATA (you know, unless copies of the OLD_DATA exist in every Gamefuna game, since all of them have sentient characters). In the third of these, she explicitly remarks about having been in the others. She can be seen in Combat Arena X, Secrets of Legendaria, and Walk. In The Hex, Rebecha herself is in multiple in-universe GameFuna games. If you people played the hex this wouldn't even be a mystery How did Rebecha end up in Inscryption, when she is a The Hex character? Because they got there on the water.Ī good question, but given how the tentacle cards are in Act 1 (with how Leshy doesn't seem to understand them being there, and how their symbols are covered in the rulebook), as well as the type of creature a Kraken (read: giant squid) works, it's likely to have something to do with the OLD_DATA, as it's established that in the game's natural state, the OLD_DATA is deep beneath the waters. This is why they are found in the Dredging Room in Act 3, and P03 never saw them anywhere else. The boat is for Leshy (and the others) to be able to take the water to the other Scrybes' areas, in the event one of the others takes over. For example, what was the boat going to be used for?
